夫佳兵者
“Weapons are tools of misfortune, not tools of the wise. When you must use them, do so with restraint and without joy. Victory is not beautiful — to find it beautiful is to delight in killing.”
夫佳兵者，不祥之器，物或恶之，故有道者不处。君子居则贵左，用兵则贵右。兵者不祥之器，非君子之器，不得已而用之，恬淡为上。胜而不美，而美之者，是乐杀人。夫乐杀人者，则不可以得志于天下矣。吉事尚左，凶事尚右。偏将军居左，上将军居右，言以丧礼处之。杀人之众，以哀悲泣之，战胜以丧礼处之。
Even in conflict, keep your humanity. Whether in a disagreement with a partner or a rivalry at work — win without destroying. There is no victory that justifies losing yourself.
佳兵者不祥之器——好战的兵器是不祥之物。
君子居则贵左用兵则贵右——日常以左为贵（吉祥），用兵以右为贵（凶事）。
恬淡为上——即使不得已用兵也要淡然处之。
战胜以丧礼处之——胜利了要以丧礼的悲伤态度对待。
