不尚贤
“Do not exalt the worthy, and people will not compete. Do not prize rare treasures, and no one will steal. Do not display what is desired, and hearts will not be disturbed.”
不尚贤,使民不争;不贵难得之货,使民不为盗;不见可欲,使民心不乱。是以圣人之治,虚其心,实其腹,弱其志,强其骨。常使民无知无欲。使夫智者不敢为也。为无为,则无不治。
The less you chase, the more you have. Let go of the constant striving, and you will find that enough is abundant.
圣人之治不在增其智巧,而在返其淳朴。
虚其心——减少贪欲;实其腹——满足基本需求;弱其志——消解争强好胜之心;强其骨——强健体魄。
为无为则无不治——以无为的方式治理,则无所不治。
