“Yield, and you remain whole. Bend, and you stay straight. Empty, and you become full. Worn out, and you are renewed. Have little, and you gain much.”
曲则全，枉则直，洼则盈，敝则新，少则得，多则惑。是以圣人抱一为天下式。不自见故明，不自是故彰，不自伐故有功，不自矜故长。夫唯不争，故天下莫能与之争。古之所谓曲则全者，岂虚言哉！诚全而归之。

曲则全——委屈反能保全。
抱一为天下式——持守'道'这一根本原则。
不自见故明——不自我表现反而彰显。
不自是故彰——不自以为是反而显著。
不自伐故有功——不自我夸耀反而有功。
夫唯不争故天下莫能与之争——逻辑的悖论，老子最具代表性的思想。
